Privacy

No cookies, nothing personal, an anonymous count of visits. The long version is short.

I · Cookies

We take souls. Not cookies.

This site sets no cookies, its own or anyone else's. It has no forms, no accounts and no newsletter, so it never asks for your name or your address.

II · The count

An anonymous headcount.

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: which page was opened, the site that sent you, your country, and the kind of device and browser. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are told apart only by a hash of the request that is discarded within a day, so we see numbers, never a person.

If you choose not to be counted, the counting script is not loaded on your later visits, and nothing is sent from this browser.

III · The host

Where the pages are served from.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it receives your IP address and browser details with each request and keeps them briefly in its logs, to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. We do not use those logs to identify anyone.

The type is served from this site itself, not from Google. The Grimoire's download buttons take you to GitHub, where GitHub's own privacy terms apply.

IV · Your browser

What stays with you.

Three small preferences are kept in your browser's local storage, never sent to us: whether you read the House by night or by day (ii-polarity), the background, if you changed it (ii:bg2), and your answer about being counted (ii-consent). Clearing this site's data removes them.

V · The House

Who to write to.

Infernal Intelligence is a design-fiction artwork by Vince Buyssens and Peter Wellens. For anything about your data, write to vince@thoughtform.co.
