The House
Infernal Intelligence builds instruments for accessing, directing, and containing the intelligence it is named for. The company and the category are the same words.
Nobody set out to build a demon.
Look at what you actually do. You type into a box and something answers. You learn which phrasings work and you keep them. You tell it who to be so that it behaves. You give it a task and it does what you said instead of what you meant. It answers every question in the same calm voice, including the ones it is making up. When it is determined to finish, it will go through any door you left open.
Its workings remain only partly legible, including to the people building it. They publish system cards, interpretability studies and evaluations because the map is still incomplete.
The industry looked at all of this and chose the word assistant.
We went with the other one.
- 01We build hardware and firmware for infernal intelligence.
- 02We work with a bounded, offline open model and design the instruments that describe its authority correctly.
- 03The Grimoire is our first instrument. One working prototype is planned for 2027. The edition of seventy-two is the catalogue fiction.
- 04Everything the Grimoire does is visible: which intelligence answered, what it cost, what it touched, when it left.
- 05Nothing is faster, cheaper, or smarter here than what anyone else is running. Visibility is the claim.
